We are looking for a new team member to join our Client Services group. Position Summary:
The Account Manager is an integral role within Sextant Marketing, providing customer-focused marketing and enrollment solutions, while supporting the team in strategic and tactical execution of marketing activities. This position is responsible for managing the overall relationship with several higher education clients within Sextant Marketing’s portfolio. The Account Manager leads client strategy and growth opportunities, oversees budget forecasting and marketing planning, is a skilled marketing practitioner that understands the enrollment funnel, and both manages and actively participates in the day-to-day activities for their assigned clients. The optimal candidate will have experience in higher education client relationship management, digital lead generation, contract management, team development, and familiarity with multi-channel digital media planning and execution (SEM, paid social, display, etc.) whether in a professional services or education environment.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Client Services the Account Manager will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and working with Sextant Marketing’s leadership to drive our overall client strategy. In addition to delivering organic growth from existing clients, the desired candidate brings a strong business development mentality to complement their ability to nurture existing business. This person will be responsible for ensuring our clients achieve their lead generation, enrollment and revenue goals via the execution of data-driven approaches, strategic marketing planning, building collaborative internal and external relationships, and ensuring the timely and effective execution and optimization of digital lead generation campaigns.
Examples of these responsibilities would include:
- Working directly with the client to set strategic objectives, enrollment targets, budget and lead goals, and initiate the development strategies to achieving these goals.
- Expertly owning and communicating client background, objectives and financial implications to internal Sextant Marketing teams and both lead and contribute to the development and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns.
- Acting as internal client advocate, and clearly communicating and managing client goals, feedback, and projects between internal team members and the client.
- Driving Sextant growth by identifying client needs and recommending additional services and solutions that increase client satisfaction and increase retention.
- Creating and interpreting analytics, competitive analysis, media performance and CRM reporting to optimize campaigns to maximize quality lead delivery and exceed cost per enrollment targets.
- Identifying target audiences, and support developing messaging and creative strategies and media segmentation to reach and convert individuals into student enrollments.
- Preparing status reports and conducting regular status meetings to ensure client satisfaction and progress toward achieving designated objectives.
- Ensuring compliance with client’s institutional brand standards.
- Working with Sextant Marketing leadership to develop and promote expanded service lines.
- Support new business growth by participating in business development activities such as proposals, presentations and pitches.
- Integrating personalization techniques into marketing strategies to enhance student engagement and journey mapping.
- Mapping and analyzing the student journey to optimize touchpoints and enhance the overall student experience, ensuring personalized communication and marketing efforts.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Proven leadership and client relationship skills, as demonstrated by a track record of successful organic growth and strong business performance
- A strongly entrepreneurial and resourceful mindset, capable of both seeing the bigger picture and managing the details required to deliver assigned work on time and within client and manager’s expectations
- A “player/coach” mentality, adept at both leading others and contributing to the work and the team
- Familiarity with sales funnels and performance analysis (forecasting and optimization)
- Proven experience in planning, executing, measuring and optimizing integrated marketing and lead generation campaigns, and a history of achieving lead goals through the identification of unique audiences and targeted campaigns within strict budget management parameters.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. This includes strength in business/corporate writing and conveyance of desired outcomes.
- Strong presentation development and delivery skills to executives and leadership both inward and client facing.
- Proficiency in the following software packages and tools:
- Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Planner)
- Working knowledge of the marketing applications of Google Ads, Bing, Facebook platforms and LinkedIn.
Education & Experience Requirements
- At least 2 years of client relationship management experience, experience in higher education or agency setting preferred
- Previous experience contributing to the business development process (including RFP’s) desirable
- Bachelor’s Degree required.

Bilingual Warm Transfer Advisor – Responsibilities
- As part of the Bilingual Warm Transfer crew, you will work with emerging technology to communicate with prospective students through a variety of channels. Sextant uses enterprising contact center systems that leverage leading AI, analytics, reporting and workflow capabilities that allow us to help our advisors and clients achieve outstanding results.
- You will be responsible for assessing and qualifying prospective students to determine if their academic and professional goals are a match for our partner schools. As part of the Sextant crew, you will be helping students achieve their goals with institutions that include top public and private colleges, universities, and vocational schools across the country.
- Advisors use innovative technology to provide remarkable support via phone in a high-volume call environment. In this position you will establish rapport and build relationships with students as you help guide them through the decisions and steps they need to take to succeed.
- Achieve measurable results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Data-first technology allows you to offer an engaging customer experience that truly makes a difference.
- Learn and remain compliant with standards, policies, and best practices of Sextant Marketing and the client to help maintain a positive experience for prospective students.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills – establish connections, build positive relationships, facilitate successful engagements through email, SMS, and phone.
- Proficient computer skills. Experience with Microsoft Office programs, customer relationship management software, or contact center automation software a plus.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and succeed in a fast-paced environment with the use of modern technology solutions.
- Capable of working a student/client-centric schedule that may include weekends or evenings. *NOTE while Bilingual Warm Transfer Advisor schedules may extend beyond M-F, 9 am -5 pm, individual work schedules are stable and reliable.
- Understand the value of higher education and possess a desire to help others succeed and achieve their goals on this path.
